For more than 20 years, Western Culinary Institute has successfully prepared students for culinary and hospitality careers.

Originally started in 1983 by two local businessmen, what is now known as Western Culinary Institute quickly became the culinary school in the Portland, Oregon, area. The famous Le Cordon Bleu Programs are some of the best in the field.

Our school is located right in downtown Portland and is close to many local amenities, including Portland's famous Pioneer Place, downtown Portland businesses, superb highway systems, and light-rail transit. Portland's downtown is abuzz with activity.
